The School of Engineering and Architecture (EINA) of the University of Zaragoza is located in the top positions of the university, professional and teaching innovation rankings, with more than 4500 students, 700 professors and 160 administration and services professionals. In 2002, the research capacity of a good part of the university groups of the EINA was grouped together with others of other faculties to create the Engineering Research Institute of Aragon (I3A), with more than 400 professionals and 33 research groups in Biomedical Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies, Processes and Recycling and Industrial Technologies.
